This AECEO project provides increased information for the public, parents and school boards about the role of early childhood educators in full day kindergarten.The project facilitates the participation of RECEs in discussions on their role in the Early Learning team while building leadership capacity in early learning sector organizations.

The Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy (ASETS) is an integrated approach to Aboriginal labour market programming that links training to labour market demand and ensures that Canada's Aboriginal people can fully participate in economic opportunities.

The AFN is the national representative organization of the First Nations in Canada. There are over 630 First Nation's communities in Canada. ACEI's mission is to promote and support the education and development of children around the world, and to influence the professional growth of educators. Site links to education-related journals (Childhood Education, Research in Childhood Education and the Professional Focus Newsletters), as well as to state comparisons of legislation relating to child care and education.

The Department of Family, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs has major responsibility for national child care policy, research and data collection. This link is a link to the Child Care page of the Department's site and includes useful basic information regarding ECEC in Australia.

B.C. Aboriginal Child Care Society is a provincial organization serving Aboriginal early childhood programs throughout British Columbia. The site includes policy news, newsletter and access to library resources.

Bernard Van Leer Foundation seeks to enhance opportunities for children growing up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage. CLASP's policy analysts and lawyers are experts on a host of family policy issues, including welfare reform, workforce development, child care, and more.

The Center for the Study of Social Policy was established in 1979 with the goal of providing public policy analysis and technical assistance in a way that blended high academic standards with direct responsiveness to the needs of policymakers and practitioners. The Center's work is concentrated in the areas of family and children's services; income supports, neighborhood- based services, education reform, family support, disability and health care policy, and long term care for the elderly.

Website developed by the Offord Centre for Child Studies provides information on how to identify, prevent and treat social, emotional, behavioral and learning problems that impede the healthy development of children. This site publishes plain language summaries of current and relevant research along with expert opinion on what works and what doesn't to improve children's mental health.

Child Care and Early Education Research Connections (CCEERC) promotes research in child care and early education and the use of research in policy making. CCEERC makes research accessible to researchers, policy makers and practitioners. The collection available includes: research reports and summaries; datasets and statistics; and data collection instruments. CCEERC also offers guidance about research methods and research quality, and provides information on public policies.

The Child Care Bureau is "dedicated to enhancing the quality, affordability, and availability of child care for all families." It administers federal funds to states, territories, and tribes to assist low-income families in accessing quality child care for children when the parents work or participate in education or training.

The Child Care Human Resources Sector Council is a pan-Canadian, non-profit organization dedicated to moving forward on the human resource issues in child care. It brings together national partners and other sector representatives to develop a confident, skilled and respected workforce valued for its contribution to early childhood care and education. The Child Care Law Center (CCLC) is a national nonprofit legal services organization that uses legal tools to make high quality, affordable child care available to every child, every family, and every community. They are the only organization in the US devoted exclusively to the complex legal issues that affect child care. Their work encompasses public benefits, civil rights, housing, economic development, regulation and licensing, and land use.

The Indicator is published four times a year by Child Trends. Its goal is to communicate major developments in all sectors of the child and youth field to the larger community of interested users, researchers, and data developers. Each issue includes articles on projects and programs using child and youth indicators on national, state and community levels.
