This blog is a site for connection, collaboration and action on behalf of very young immigrant children, birth to age eight, and their parents. As part of a Working Group of the Canadian Coalition for Immigrant Children and Youth, the working group advocates for more and better services and supports for immigrant children in Canada.
A member of the Working Group of the Canadian Coalition for Immigrant Children and Youth, Sonia Worotynec looked at the widely known and used Early Childhood Environment Ration Scale (ECERS) and developed an anti-bias tool that uses the same format as the ECERS with the "Notes of Clarification" but with a focus on diversity issues.
