Status of child care

03/13/2020 – all child care centres closed as of March 16 - March 27th, 2020. 

Status of child care for essential workers

03/25/2020 - Emergency services will be offered until May 1, inclusively from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Available for children between the ages of 4 and 13 who are currently attending preschool or elementary school in an English- or French-language public or private school Parents will not have to pay for emergency daycare services.

No meal services will be offered, and no snacks will be provided.

03/16/2020 - Quebec government will cover all costs.

Essential service workers include police, the fire department, ambulance attendants, employees of Urgency Quebec, correctional officers, special constables, child care staff, others
