03/15/2020 - Province announces that all licensed childcare facilities and out-of-school care programs to close immediately.

Approved day homes are exempt.

Status of child care for essential workers

“Up to 15,000 child care spaces will begin to reopen this week for health professionals and other core service workers. Centres initially chosen based on proximity to health care. Access will be prioritized to health-care practitioners, critical infrastructure workers, additional spaces will then be available to first responders (firefighters and police officers) and others.”
Each centre will be limited to no more than 30 people, including staff, and will be required to adhere to strict cleaning and sanitation standards”.
