EXCERPTS:

Premier Brad Wall says his government will create 2,000 new child care spaces if Saskatchewan voters return the Sask Party to power on November 7.

Wall made the promise on Monday at a child care facility in Emerald Park just east of Regina.

"This is one of the best things we can do to help young working families in a growing province," Wall said.

Wall also said his government would continue to work with school boards, community organizations and post-secondary institutions for the distribution of child care spaces.

According to the Sask Party, the total operating cost of the new spaces would be $19-million over four years.
