9 Oct 2014 - 5:30pm - 6:30pm

From the closure of day nurseries at the end of World War II, to feminist struggles for affordable childcare in the 1980s, to the challenge of finding a daycare spot today, come and learn about the history of childcare in Toronto, as told through the stories of 95 Bellevue.

Join the Department of Public Memory in listening to and sharing memories of this remarkable site while you learn about the long history of publicly funded childcare in this building. Witness the unveiling of a commemorative sign.

Adults, kids and families welcome. Playground on site. Pizza dinner will be served.

We hope to see you there!
