This year's Appreciation Day will highlight the important role early childhood educators and child care workers play in supporting positive later life outcomes for children and supporting families to work and study. We will be asking child care "graduates" and their parents to come and show appreciation for their child care teachers – through the sharing of their memories and stories! It will also provide elected leaders an opportunity to hear directly from child care graduates and parents about why their teachers and child care centres were/are important to them.
It's time to celebrate what child care providers – all of them - do!
Advocates, parents and children are joining together to recognize the valuable contribution Early Childhood Educators and child care workers make in the lives of children, their families and society. This day is also a
great opportunity for child care program boards of directors to recognize the valuable contributions of their staff and show their appreciation by taking the lead in organizing Child Care Worker & Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.
