This one day conference will examine creative practice inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to informing early years experience. This is an innovative approach that reflects upon the desire to promote opportunities and environments where young children are supported to explore and communicate their ideas in a creative way. This day will focus on issues of development and possibility in early years projects which feature the inclusion of an artist-enabler. It will provide a platform to reconsider old ideas and experiences.....and have fun!
The conference will:
- reflect on new and existing models of early childhood creative practice locally and nationally
- examine the collaborative role of arts-enablers and educator
- encourage the development of reflective and creative early years art work
Topics will include:
- creating enabling environments
- developing child centred learning groups
- the creative learning cycle
- the role of the artist
There will also be an exhibition area showcasing recent projects.
