There has been a total lack of debate, even recognition of the poverty crisis in this province by the provincial government. We are therefore inviting all those who are affected and/or concerned to join us at a People's Parliament on Poverty. This is an opportunity for those affected by economic disadvantage, those advocating on behalf of the poor and all concerned people to present/discuss/debate/demand and otherwise engage in the work that should be done by our leaders to solve this shameful problem of poverty.

That is why NDP MPP Tony Martin is hosting individuals and community groups to speak their mind.

Please call and arrange a time to submit your recommendations to the Parliament or to recommend speakers.

Presentations are not limited to formal readings. Participants can express themselves through poetry, song or theatre. The number of participants will determine the maximum time for each submission.
All are welcome at the People's Parliament. If you do not wish to make a formal submission please show your support by your attendance and encouraging others to attend as well.
