EXCERPTS

Working parents struggling to find child care will be pleased to hear that Education Minister Ken Krawetz has announced the first allocation of 1,000 new child care spaces in the province to the Moose Jaw YMCA.

The Saskatchewan Party government is investing just over $4 million in child care spaces. Of the 1,000 new spaces, Moose Jaw will receive 120.

"Moose Jaw is ready to go. You can see by the Board of Directors and the planning that has been done by the Moose Jaw YMCA, this is a place that requires spaces", said Krawetz.

...

The Moose Jaw YMCA currently operates two centres, the Play ‘N' Learn, and a centre for young parents, located in A.E. Peacock Collegiate.

It's not just new child care spaces for Moose Jaw either. It's more work. The new facilities will create eleven new, permanent full-time positions and numerous construction jobs.
